Creatine
Creatine is a substance in the bloodstream of vertebrates that is used for
supplementary energy transport in certain body systems.
ATP is the main immediate source of usable energy in the body, but the
brain, heart and muscle require enormous amounts of energy that Creatine helps
to supply.
Produced in the Kidneys and Liver, Creatine is absorbed into these cells and picks up
the high energy phosphate group from excess ATP at Mitochondria, then shuttles
out to other cells to help with their energy requirements.

Although I don't have any medical qualifications,
as a sufferer of Diabetes, Deafness and Tinnitus caused by the A3243G mtDNA defect,
I do have a very keen interest in the subject.
