Reduction
Many biochemical reactions in cells involve the transfer of electrons from one atom
or molecule to another.
Reduction describes the gain of an electron by an atom or molecule.
Because electrons are neither created nor destroyed in chemical reactions,
if one atom or molecule is Reduced another must be Oxidised.
