Threshold
Carriers of mtDNA mutations, such as A3243G, may have no symptoms. This is because
the Heteroplasmy level, or mutation load is below the Threshold level.
There appears to be a Threshold for certain tissue types, for a given mtDNA
mutation.
For A3243G, it appears to be about 80%.
