Support Group works.
The "
A3243G
Support Group"
is designed to allow like minded people find each other,
and provide information, support and encouragement.
This should be possible on a global basis.
Equally there could be benefits, of finding people in the same Country,
who speak the same Language as yourself!
Aspects of the "
A3243G
Support Group" are:
Anonymity:
The "
A3243G
Support Group" must
allow anonymity for those who want it.
- Receiving the Newsletter is anonymous, (it is sent out using the BCC
feature).
- Contributing to the Forum is anonymous, (unless you include any personal
details).
- Submitting a Personal Journey is anonymous, (unless you include any
personal details).
Note: You are advised not to include any personal details in posts to
the Forum or the Personal Journeys section - this way malicious people or web
sites cannot easily obtain your email address.

Contact-ability:
Members of the "
A3243G
Support Group"
are encouraged to support each other by email -
- The Newsletter contains the email addresses of people who are willing to
be "contactable". This section of the Newsletter contains the following
details
- Name,
- Country,
- Interest, (e.g. MIDD, MELAS, CPEO etc).
- Email Address
- Everybody receives the Newsletter anonymously because it is sent out
using the BCC feature, but some of these people are also contactable via the
Newsletter.
Whilst there is the possibility of abuse, this is not expected.
If in doubt, use a secondary email address - such as HotMail.

Note: This scheme allows Members of the "
A3243G
Support Group" a wide range of options:
I.e. The Newsletter, the Forum and the Personal Journeys are all
independent of each other.
